At the age of six, adventure, for me, began on the other side of the fence from our yard. After that was know, adventure was the next unknown experience beyond that.
Throughout my life, adventure, has expanded and changed with each new experience of life; school, moving, work, marriage, the birth of a child, the list is endless. Adventure has become an opiate, a craving that can never really be satiated.
And then there are some adventures that remain an adventure, no matter how many times you experience them. Alaska river floats are one of those adventures.
The current blog reports are a daily account of Ian, my son, and my latest 11 day trip down a remote Alaskan river in the Togiak National Wildlife Refuge.
